The Hungry Club
The “Hungry Club” at Big Mama’s Kitchen & Catering began back in 2008 as a vehicle to use our passion for food to bring the community together. Held on the first Wednesday of every month at noon, it is an opportunity to share food for thought, action and change in our community over a great meal. This event is free and open to the public.
The Hungry Club is presented by Big Mama’s Kitchen & Catering and Black Men United. Previous Hungry Club meetings can be viewed on Big Mama’s YouTube Channel. For more information or to inquire about how to be a guest speaker contact our host Willie Hamilton Founder Black Men United at admin@blackmenunited.org
Testimonials
Big Mammas does it rightBEST fried chicken and fish in Omaha!! Truly a hidden gem of Omaha, Ne. Her sweet potato pie ice cream as well as the cheesecake is just one of a kind!!
An Omaha classic. Served up by some of the most wonderful people in the industry.
Big Mama’s Kitchen is a must-visit! I’ve been enjoying their sweet potato cheesecake for over a decade, and it’s still my favorite dessert. Their cranberry tea is my absolute favorite, so refreshing and flavorful. The oven-fried chicken and wings are also delicious. I’ve had their catering at events, and it was amazing. Highly recommend!
The sweet potato ice cream was AMAZING
Chris is amazing! Service with a smile! And the food… oh man amazing as well! Will definitely return!
Big mama has so much history. Not only from her delicious food but also in the stories she can tell you from growing up in Omaha. You definitely have to try the sweet potato pie although everything is amazing. They have moved into a new building on 30th but haven’t lost anything. Great decision!
Seriously the best fried catfish I have ever had! We drove from Fort Calhoun and it was worth every mile!! Can’t wait to visit again soon!
Amazing!!! The best Fried Chicken I’ve ever had!
Always excellent service and wonderful food-so nice to work with and very accommodating.
